Carpenter ants
Carpenter ants are among the most harmful ant species. Carpenter ants are larger and come in various colours, including black, red, brown, orange, yellow, and/or a combination of red and black. If left untreated, these ants burrow through wood and can cause serious structural damage to homes, costing homeowners tens of thousands of dollars in damages. They like to form their colonies in moist, warm areas. They prefer humid environments, some areas you can find them are in your bathroom, beside the kitchen sink, or in the laundry room. Carpenter ants can quickly grow in population, so it is important to treat them as soon as you detect them.

pharaoh ants
Due to their small size and colour, Pharaoh ants usually go unseen. Despite their tropical origins, they are perfectly at ease within climate-controlled buildings. They are one of the most difficult pests to eradicate in the home. These ants will infest practically any space where food is stored. Pharaoh ants  are a nuisance in homes since they congregate around food and cause structural damage while establishing their nests. Despite the fact that the Pharaoh ant does not bite, the insect has the potential to harm people in other ways. Many infections, including salmonella, staphylococcus, and clostridium, which may cause botulism, are carried by and transmitted by the pharaoh ant.
